Jane and John Kostick (Compound of twelve triangular prisms)

Tetraxis, injection-molded plastic and magnets. Contributed by Glen Whitney.

[80 F, 150 E, 72 V] This object is a discontinued magnetic puzzle toy (although the creators may still produce versions in wood upon request), at one time highly rated by New Yorker magazine and described as “challenging but not throw-it-across-the-room challenging.” Note how each of the three pieces of the same color points in the same direction. Thus, there are only four directions used in an assembled puzzle, inspiring its Tetraxis(tm) brand name.
